Drama and Movement Therapy

Jen trained in the Sesame Approach to Drama and Movement Therapy and it continues to underpin and inform all aspects of Story Moves work. The Sesame Approach is rooted in using the imagination, story, movement and metaphor to explore all aspects of the Self in a non-threatening and co-creative way. For many, it is a more accessible route to therapy due to the creative and non-cognitive approach.

Drama and Movement Therapy can be beneficial for:

  • Children, young people and adults with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Children, young people and adults with learning difficulties
  • Children, young people and adults on the Autistic Spectrum
  • Young people and adults with mental health disorders
  • People who are wanting to explore a creative approach to therapy

Dramatherapists are registered with the Health Professions Council and undergo regular professional supervision.
