Story Moves in the Community

Story Moves offers creative projects in a range of settings from hospital to small community groups, to develop physical and emotional wellbeing, confidence, self expression, communication, social skills and connection. Sessions may include relaxation, movement, drama, music, story-telling/making. Projects are bespoke and designed to meet the needs to the group, organisation and individual. We work with people of all ages and abilities including those living with dementia and life limiting illnesses and those who care for them, young parents, families in need and people with disabilities.

Story Moves is part of the Derby City Arts In Health team and one of the lead artists at Derby Royal City Hospital delivering projects on a range of wards to support health and wellbeing. To date, the team have worked on Renal, Stroke Rehab, Elderly and Dementia wards.

'The Imaginarium' is a transformed hospital trolly that has become a story-making machine using props, puppets, shadow projection, music and movement. - www.airarts.net/engage
